Learnmode Instructor Agreement
Introduction:
At Learnmode, we are committed to providing the highest quality educational experiences to our learners. This Instructor Agreement outlines the expectations, responsibilities, and terms for course creators on our platform. We aim to maintain a professional and mutually beneficial partnership with our instructors.
Course Quality and Updates:
As a course creator, your commitment to quality and relevance is essential. You are responsible for ensuring that your course is up to date with accurate information. Feedback from our members should be taken into consideration, and all your interactions with learners should be conducted in a professional manner.
Financial Advice:
If your course covers any financial topics, it is crucial to avoid providing any form of financial advice to our members. We strongly recommend including a disclaimer such as “This is not financial advice” in your training material if necessary.
Revenue Sharing:
For every sale of your course, Learnmode will receive 15% of the proceeds. This fee covers marketing and transaction costs. In the event of any changes to this fee, you will be notified in advance. Your payouts will be processed on a 7-day rolling basis and will be visible in your Stripe account.
Assistance and Support:
In certain cases, we may need to access your account to assist you with any course-related issues if you request our support.
Pricing Control:
You have full control over setting the price of your course. Charge a fee that reflects the value of your content. If you require guidance on pricing, our support team is available to assist you, or you can use our free course valuation form. We reserve the right to pause sales of overpriced courses pending further investigation and communication with you.
Affiliate Program:
By listing your course on our platform, it is automatically included in our affiliate program. Affiliates have the opportunity to promote and sell your courses. If you wish to opt out of affiliation, please refer to the Learnmode Help Centre for instructions.
Affiliates can earn up to a 10% commission per sale, as outlined in our affiliate program terms and conditions.
Compliance with Policies:
As a vendor, you are responsible for ensuring that your products and marketing materials adhere to our website’s policies, including content guidelines, intellectual property rights, and ethical business practices.
Company Relationship:
As an instructor, you agree not to harm or threaten Learnmode Ltd. You do not have any ownership rights or shares within the company.
Use of Music in Videos:
If you incorporate music into your videos, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Give proper credit to the creators of the music used.
- Avoid using licensed music without proper rights or licenses.
Instructors are responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding music usage.
Copyright and Intellectual Property:
You, the instructor, retain the copyright and intellectual property rights to your course content. Learnmode is granted a license to use this content on our platform.
Data Privacy:
Learnmode is committed to protecting user data and complying with relevant data protection laws. We will handle data collected from course users in accordance with our privacy policy and applicable regulations.
Dispute Resolution:
In the event of conflicts or disputes, we encourage open communication and cooperation. If necessary, disputes will be resolved through mediation or arbitration.
Termination:
Learnmode reserves the right to terminate an instructor’s account or remove their courses from the platform in cases of policy violations, ethical concerns, or other valid criteria.
Support and Communication:
Instructors can seek support, report issues, or communicate with Learnmode’s team through designated channels and methods outlined in our support guidelines.
Diversity and Inclusion:
We encourage instructors to create courses that are inclusive, diverse, and accessible to a wide range of learners.
Prohibited Content:
Explicitly state that any content related to illegal activities, discrimination, hate speech, or any content that violates community standards or the law is strictly prohibited.
Refunds for Instructor Courses:
We have established refund guidelines to ensure transparency and trust with our learners.
Course Accuracy: Instructors are responsible for maintaining transparent and accurate course descriptions and relevant content. If a course is found not to match the description or does not meet our standards, learners may be entitled to a refund.
Refund Request Timeframe:
2. Timely Request: To be eligible for a refund, learners must submit a refund request within 7 days of the date of purchase. Requests submitted after this timeframe will not be considered for a refund.
Refund Process:
3. Investigation: Upon receiving a refund request, Learnmode will initiate an investigation to determine whether the course in question did not match the description or meet our standard requirements.
Decision: Learnmode will make a decision regarding the refund request based on the results of the investigation. If the course is found to be non-compliant with the description or standard requirements, a refund will be processed for the learner.
Instructor Course Requirements:
To publish your course on Learnmode, ensure that it meets the following criteria:
- Minimum 30 minutes of video content.
- Minimum 5 lectures.
- Up-to-date and valuable content.
- High-definition (HD) video quality (720p or 1080p).
- Maximum file size per video: 1.5GB, please get in touch if more.
- Clear audio and engaging content.
- Course image size: 2048 x 1152px.
- Relevant course title.
- No discrimination or hate speech in the course.
Adherence to these requirements contributes to a high-quality learning environment and successful courses. Failure to comply may result in course removal.
Updates to the Agreement:
We may update this agreement as needed. In such cases, instructors will be informed of changes, and the updated terms will apply moving forward.
Liability and Indemnity:
Both parties agree to handle legal disputes or claims in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Instructors will be responsible for their course content, and Learnmode will maintain its commitment to a fair and secure learning environment.
